I see that you have a 72 LT-1 also. I have a question about the 294 solid cam. Did you raise your compression at all from stock? And do you have any problems with low vacume. My buddy has that same cam in a 327 and it doesn't pull that much vacume at idle.
Vacume sucks!
Thanks

I did raise the compression a little. I went with AFR heads at 68cc instead of the stock 76cc. I should be around 10:1 compression. ishould have gone more. My vacuum at idle is about 8 to 9 inches. Not much but I have no problems running the headlights at all. The cam is a little big know that I look back on it but I like it. Probably would have been better for a 383 with around 10.5 :1 compression. It really pulls hard from 3000 to 7000 rpm.

Thanks Gordonm. It's kind of hard to find a small solid cam. I was going to try and raise my comp. to 9.5. Thinking that I will just go with a factory replacement cam from comp cams.
Thank you once again

If you can find one with around 236 dur @.050 and a lift of around .480 that should work good with 9.5 comp and decent heads.
