Something else that comes to mind that some other folks have experienced is the length of the threaded adjusting rod. Some of the stock ones are just a tad too short and have to be lengthened to get the proper clutch adjustment. This can be done either by welding on a threaded rod of the same diameter and thread, or using a bushing to attach an extra length of rod. Both ways will do the trick.

Actually by virtue of gear ratio these trannies can take alot of abuse. 903 casting tranny. You can go BB with that tranny. It's good enough.
Grab the tranny... it'll work and you'll love it!
