All my life I've lived within 20 miles of Jeg's, until 2 years ago.... Now I buy from them mail order.
Every performance car I've ever had has had parts from Jeg's on it!!
1st rate all the way!!!!! and decent prices to boot!!!

I never bought from them but I have heard only good things about them. I assume you want the 64cc heads - for 594$ a great deal.

I don't know that much about motors so any input on which head to buy would be appreciated.

To me it seems their 64cc heads are similar to my Edelbrock Performer heads, just a few hundred bucks less expensive. These should work fine with a nice cam (as they recommend) , ask their tech support - I have heard they are great in customer support and are knowledgeable about what works together... they will probably be able to tell you what cam and intake you should get.
Don't forget to mention that you have a low compression L48, mine ran terrible with a hot cam and I had to install a milder cam (Edelbrock "Performer RPM" vs "Performer")

I think those are Canfield heads being marketed as Jegs heads.

What angle plug should i get. and What is a good cam my motor already has a Edlebrock Vic JR. Intake and Holly 650 Carb. with true dual exhaust. About how much hp could i estimate with these heads and the stuff I already have.

There was a post about the L48 engine and somebody who has a similar setup as I have said he has 320 HP (Head, cam , intake and carb).
See what cam Jegs recommed, it will probably be close to the 'Performer' which is $140 incl the hydr. lifters at Advance Auto Parts. You may need longer pushrods, they (Jegs) will be able to tell you which of their parts match.
I'm not sure about angled or straight plugs, I guess it depends on your headers...

It can be done in a weekend, if you never did it before it will take longer. There are many good books out there , many have photos so you can see what you have to do...
