7" Brake Booster: How Effective?

I just picked up a new 7" power brake booster for my '79. It'll have a vortec stroker with a hot cam. The cam should pull plenty of vacuum from what I've been told. Who here is running one of the smaller boosters and how well does it work? I'll give up that extra room if it means it will cost me stopping distance, but if it works as good as stock with a mild cam, I'd sure like to run this new one. Thanks in advance for your help.

No idea, but I know the problem with the stock one is that it's too small. Hydroboost (kit or stock vehicle adaptation) is the way to go.

I have a new hydroboost setup for a hot street Chevelle project but would like to keep this one looking semi-stock. Any other input/experiences? Thanks!
