Default Correct 71 radio

Does anyone have a picture of an original 71 corvette radio - What do the ***** look like and are they green or white faced?

Thanks,
Michael

The face should be green.

That's a good pic of one. The #s are a greenish white pretty much match guagues and w/ lights on are a backlit green (72+ are white and at night w/ lights appear blue) from behind. There may have been some part# changes but I think 68-71s are visually same (68 had unique *****). I think the stereo version was identical except lit up the word 'Stereo' (later ones lit an orange dot). The radio (mono) versios did not have a functional balance **** - it was a 'dummy' spacer **** - I think.

BTW I lost 1 of my four ***** - if anybody has a leftover 69-71 tone/balance(st) chrome **** they want to sell cheap? It's just like the tone/balance ***** in the picture above.

If anybody is interested I'm restoring an extra 72-76 Stereo if I can ever find the time.
