USMC Birthday
A day to remember our young (and old) Marines, laying it on the line in a foreign land. While we are sitting at home, looking at the Corvette Forum, there are lots of soldiers putting themselves in harms way.
Lots of Marines and former Marines own Vettes.
Let's hope they all come home soon so they too can post on the forum.

1983 - 2003...Hollywood Marine, Ammo guy, Pvt to CWO, gave 'em 20 years and 14 days..not that I was counting or anything!
A Marine can live
Months without sex
Weeks without mail
Days without food
Hours without water
Minutes without air
but not a second without Ammo!
(I've always questioned the "sex" one...have experienced all of the rest!)
Keep our brothers in your prayers. Hell'uv a way to spend the 229th, kicking butt in Falluja. By what the news is showing there is no shortage of ammunition!
I'm getting the Vette ready to drive in the Veteran's Day Parade tomorrow - hope the rain holds off.

Just thought you guys would like to know that the Assistant Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who is the highest ranking Marine (4 stars) drives a C5, it is green and the plates are
"USMC-1" on Wash. DC plates which are red/white/blue.
He is General Peter Pace, I grew up with him. He's a hell of a good guy.
