I know they have a lifetime warranty, but that doesn't make me feel any better considering the stories I've heard here about faulty "new" units.
I'm going to upgrade this winter with a complete stainless/o-ring/braided setup and need to do the master cylinder as well since I'm switching to silicone fluid.

i probably have close to $1000 worth of VBP suspension and brake stuff on my car and have been very happy with all of it. My master brake cylinder was a 19.95 car quest deal and is working just fine....
The bigger issue with any of this stuff (especially brakes) is whether or not you drive your car year-round or store it in the winter. For those of us lucky enough to have a 12-month driving season, even the el cheapo stuff often provides satisfactory results.
That said, I sincerely doubt you're gonna go wrong buying anything from VB&P...

No doubt VetteBrakes has very high quality parts. Their calipers seem to be the best available.
I do however not believe that there could be anything wrong with a MC for $30 from AutoZone vs a $100 MC from MidAmerica/Ecklers/VBP
I spend the $100 not knowing that I could have bought it for $30... also with life time warranty...
The calipers are Vette specific, but isn't that the same MC in many older Chevy's ??
I would have no problem with new stuff from Autozone or others. My experience is that when I buy "rebuilt" from the chain stores it is hit and miss- mostly miss.
My brake/alignment people replaced a MC for me once. The shop mgr told me they had to go through several MCs to find one that would "pump up". I'm having break problems now and I had a new MC put on by mech. I WONDER?

but I find parts from Car Quest or Napa a better deal, you might pay a little more, but you only do the job once!!!!
