changed caliper
after sleeping on it i deceided today to remove the caliper that i broke the bleeder on yesterday and also try to get the broken e/z out ,and get the broken bleeder out,,, no such luck, that sucker was in there, so i found 1973 g.m. calipers at carquest, and figured what the heck the one im replacing is 31 yrs old anyway, so i fired up the heater in the garage, nice and toasty as i painted it red to match the others,i made a brake fluid recovery tank out of a glass pickle jar and a rubber hose that fit over the bleeder screws,, so the brake fluid would go in the jar ,,not on my car,lifting paint ect...or all over the floor.. heck the caliper even came with the little rubber tips to protect the bleeders, so i bought 4 more and put them on all 6 bleeders- also put anti sieze on all 6 bleeders so i wont go thru this for some time,, since the rear tires were off i had a chance to do a good cleaning of the frame, crossmember, trailering arms spare tire tub ect,,, ready for the mirrors next weekend at vette fest,, turned out to be a good time working on the vette again!
