There is a member with a yellow vette that has yellow splatter paint under the hood. It looks really good IMO. Also, if I am not mistaken, Wade Black rat from NC has a purple motor in a black vette.

carl a that looks awsome, thanks..... i particularly like using the same colors on the brake booster and radiator support.... looks like the inner fender wells are flat black? what color is the fire wall including the AC/heater box area? thks bob
firewall and heater box is g.m. chassis black- noticed the heater hose fittting! thats the sore spot, they put that port outta the intake right in the way of the fuel rails- i called eldabrock(or however you spell it) and asked what geniuis thought up that! i had a problem finding a 90 degrss fitting to dump outta that port and 90 before hitting the fuel rail- i also tried to get the fuel rails kicked up as soon as they left the carbs bowls so the rails would go over the 90 i already have- no luck i hate the way that looks. i still need a sharp 90 gotta be under a inch from top of last thread to top of 90- here's another angle of the heater box side- booster and stuff is gold paint-glad you like it-carl------
"I've always been fond of body color engine bays" Qoute fauxrs
I must say that looks very nice, clean, apealing to the eye, my body is white and I think that would be a bit much to keep up. I went flat black to not take away from the engine I spent a small fortune on!
Not finished yet still have to install spal fans, braided rad hoses, fuel lines, vacuum lines, and wire looms for spark plug wires, and neaten up the throtle linkage etc.

During the body restification I did the engine bay and underside of the hood in semi flat black and splatter painted body color in acrylic enamel over it. I painted the engine block body color.

that yellow treatment with the acrylic is really cool looking..... i like everyones engine interior that is painted the same color as their car....problem is my cars black, my engines black and if I paint the interior black , i fear it may be too much black.... what about a gray engine interior with that acrylic black spackle on it? what do you think?

summer fun heres a picture of what i took off..with the painted intake and other photos of where i stand and what to do with the paint scheme???? the car is black so i'm thinking gray inner fender walls, gloss black frame, gold brake booster/mast cyl and radiator core support brackets, black radiator ,core support. also that yellow and black spatter paint looked really cool i may do the black splatter on the inner fenders walls. any thoughts?
