The Mini starters will work on both flywheels.... Dual bolt pattern AND you can change the clock position to clear headers!!!

I done a search and seen where some guys have tried the 1996-2000 Chevy truck starters. Supposed to be the mini-starter.

Anyone have this experience ?

Or the Van one will work. You will have to drill out the metric holes and install 3/8 tubing. (Easy) It will zing that motor like it's got not compression.

I am a little confused [ as usual ].

The '78 L-48 have metric bolts for the starter ??

Do you drill it out to the O.D. of the copper tubing?

I need a little more detailed explanation. This old fart is going senile !!
