I am running the Harland Sharp full roller rockers on the 454- the "Diamond Series". They fit under the STOCK valve covers (from '74)....

Only problem- $364.00 from Summit..........

I'm using the Harland Sharp 1.5s. Had them on since the early nineties. I even managed to make them fit under the stock L82 covers. Many people told me they wouldn't fit.

I wouldn't run aluminum roller rockers on any motor I wanted to live for a long time (YES! I know the LT4 and Ford Lightning had aluminum rockers OEM, did you know there were recalls on both vehicles?) Comp Cams Chrome molly Pro Magnums are the best priced rockers out there at under $300 a set. There are Stainless Rockers out there too but, I have had the best results with Chrome molly steel. I have seen aluminum stuff wear itself into catastrophic failure too many times to use them in any of my engines, even Drag Race stuff. I currently have over 14,000 miles on my Pro Magnum rockers and they are still in great shape.

Some may think it overkill, but I have Crower Stainless Steel roller rockers with the short style "sure-locks". They fit under a stock valve cover with some grinding of the drippers which you don't need with a roller rocker.

This is on a 427 big block and I am very pleased with them.

Regards, Mark

Harland Sharp INVENTED full roller rockers. For the money, they can't be beat. If you want totally bulletproof, go with Comp Cams stainless or chromemoly, but be prepared to pay a bit more. I bought a couple of sets of big block 1.7 Harland Sharps from a racer who was sponsored by H/S. Still have a set new in the shrink wrap that I'll sell for less than any retaler if anyone is interested. I have more than I'll ever need and hate to see these gather dust. Email me at 81vette4speed@***.net if anyone is interested.
