THE "NEW" NCRS

Just recieved a 2 page letter from National Corvette Restorers Society's attorneys claiming my infringement of NCRS' rights and plagiarism of their logo.
I do not see ANY similarities. One logo is round and the other is rectangular. 2 different type fonts for NCRS also explaining what the letters stand for (does the National Corvette Restorers Society own those letters of the alphabet ??
). The cross flags is a registered trademark of GM. I highly doubt they would bother for two reasons: (1) We are CORVETTE OWNERS
(2) They have bigger things to spend attorney fees on.Their attorneys do NOT scare me one bit (can't get water out of a rock
). Those stuffy "Restorers Society" people need to loosen their ties and/or get a life. So, anyone who has bought any stickers and/T-shirts, show and wear them proud. Ecpecially at the NCRS meets, Bloomington Gold, & Carlisle.

It does seem kind of lame, but I know that copywrite holders have to protect it or lose it.
Might have to become the ICRS

Really, can letters of the alphabet be copyrighted?
It should be noted that the first two pages of a google search of GM does not return 100% General Motors topics either...

BTW, a one year membership to the NCRS is only $30 and includes a newsletter!

Also, the fine print on their website lists the following:
NCRS registered marks used on the NCRS Website: NCRS Founders Award®, NCRS Master Judge Award®, NCRS Performance Verification Award®, NCRS Flight Award® and NCRS Sportsman Award® are registered with the United States Department of Commerce and Trademark Office.

I won't bother showing the logo for Nepal Cancer Research Society...you're getting the idea by now!

Sounds like it's time for me to order a decal also. Does anyone have a link to them?
Merely an observation...

Nothing but a trouble maker.
Glad I just sent you that check Norm...you may need bail money.
I'm sure all the NCRS members of this forum would gladly kick in a few bucks for legal fees.
They'll be coming after me next and where's Gator?
I can't imagine that they view this as "critical".
I think they are seriously over estimating their importance in the grand scheme of things.

NO...I am not kidding.
Their logo clearly states what "their" NCRS stands for and that is what it is registered under. The other logo is entirely different and states what those NCRS letters stands for. This the second letter I have recieved from them. This came registered mail, I guess they think I did not recieve the first because I continued to sell the T-Shirts. I have not had any shirts since the summer. MY GUESS is...It's getting cold up north (Vettes are in storage), & one of these attorneys is most likely a member of the "Society". So they have nothing else to do. They do not intimidate me (Earnhardt Sr. would have
). I have consulted with an attorney myself.

I would love to see the NCRS T-Shirts being worn all over @ the "Society's" meet in Janurary in Orlando. Quite a few people who got them live down here.
