ok my carburetor has all the working parts needed for the car to run....but something is wrong with it (prob just needs a makeover with new gaskets and such) what im asking though is what are all the parts im goin to need to completely rebuild it (i.e. float, gaskets, rebuild kit) i already have my eyes set out for the cleaner and bucket but i need to know all the parts i need to have to rebuild it. thanks in advance
Question: Have you significantly altered the cars performance signature from stock? If so, you may also need to rejet.
Lars rebuilt my Q-jet for around $175 including shipping. He tuned it on one of his cars and other than a primary/secondary metering rod change and main jet change after I swapped heads and exhaust, it has been dialed in perfectly.

Get the carb number of the QJET and get a rebuild kit from NAPA for around $20. The nitrite float is separate from the kit and is around $7, you need that also. Both items are made by Echelon (sp?). Look under www.corvettefaq.com for LARS papers. I am pretty sure he lists part numbers in there.
Take JCSWM up on his offer and have some cold beer ready. AH....corvettes, QJETS and beer.........
