Default Had a nice ride... on a flatbed!

Here was my day.

The 80 Vette that I bought last week was supposed to go into a mini storage spot this morning for the winter. (live in New England)

Well, the garage spot had a huge lip on the entrance and I couldn't get into the spot because the car kept getting caught from underneath.

Anyway, I had already put some gas stabilizer in the tank, and before I could go get some ramps or wooden planks to get me into that garage.... that stabilizer started causing problems.

The car stalled on the side of the road. It wouldn't start. Wouldn't turn over. Finally started once, then stalled again. Now, I'm running seriously late for a post baptism party for which I am the Godfather!!!

Flatbed comes and towes it home for 94 dollars. 2 hours later. Starts and runs fine!

What the hell happened?????????

Tomorrow it really goes into storage.

Try backing it in.

I do not know what could be wrong with the gas. It has never done that for me. How much did you use? How much gas in the tank? I would have it filled it up to the top to prevent condensation and rust.

If you're only storing the car for the winter, you don't need gas stabilizer. Just fill the tank full of gas and leave it until March/April.

You would be pissed if you were gonna get shoved in a box for the winter.
