I have 78-82 seats in my 69. C4 seats and C5 seats also look nice. All of these are taller than stock I believe.

no doubt about it. 78-82 seats have the best looks and comfort of all the c3 seats

look at www.corbeau.com

The A4 model is supposed to fit, personally I like the CR1 best but I was told that it's too wide for the C3.

I tried to get some photos two weeks ago, I also want to 'upgrade' ..... so far I haven't found what I really like, I guess the 78-82 seats are the best you can get. I want my seat lower but most of the aftermarket bucket seats are actually sitting higher and are less comfortable....

Purchased them already, they make the brackets for my 77 and I did some measurements so they should fit. Haven't gotten to the interior yet so i dont know

I'll let you know when I do though

I have been around the block with seats, so trust me NOT MANY WILL FIT due to height, I bought the cut down corbeaus from speed direct, they have special low profile brackets and the foam is cut down on the seat base to make them as low as possible in the car. I choose the GTSII as opposed to the A4's due to the width, the A4's are only for up to a 32" waist. The GTSII's I think are good to a 36" or so waist, so thats what I got and BELIEVE me they are tight enough, I could not imagine sitting in A4's you would feel like a sardine in a fiberglass can (BTW, I weigh 210 lbs)

here is a link to my interior.

Bryan8412 2, how tall are you? I am worried about those seats making me sit too high and my head hitting the roof especially with a helmet for autox.

I'm only 5'7" so I think I'll be ok. When I finish the interior I'll post it so remind me and I'll take measurements (assuming it fits ) The brackets seem pretty low profile though...

There was a group purchase, but they were I think just over 800 for the pair (including brackets), you would have to call www.speeddirect.com. They did bolt right in sort of, no drilling but were a very tight fit (had to like pry them into position to get bolt holes to line up) it was actually cheaper than refurbish stock seats due to the frame work mine needed and bucket work etc..... so for me it was a no brainer. They are real comfy and get lots of compliments.
