Default Richmond six-speed

I was looking at the richmond six speed or possibly the five. Anybody have one of these or even the Keisler five speed. Do they bolt right in place of the four speed? I have the auto. what things do i need to put one of these in my '79?

Check out a quick Richmond six speed page I created.... You can see some of the work I did on it back in Sept, 1999.....

Corvetteatv7,

Yes- this trans is great. I won't say it's better than the T-56 units (don't really know) but I will say that it is well worth installing an overdrive trans no matter which one you choose. Even the 5 speed is fine- from Keisler. Even a turbo 700 or 2004R overdrive automatic- I am a PRO-overdrive motorhead!!!

I am still in the process of getting my 454 build-up tuned and a decent exhaust system on it, but I did change over from 3.08's to 3.70's last spring.... I will have to update everyone once I get this done (January).....
