Default 78 tachometer
when I turn the ignition off on my 78 the tach needle moves to around 1500 - 2000 marker on the guage, when I turn the ignition back on it drops back down to zero(more or less)
Any ideas or resoultions would be appreciated.

My 78 did the same thing. I think it is common for electronic tachs of that era.

That is common for just about any tach.

Thats common,Those Tachs work off of three things,Ground,Postive and signal without signal they will "float" until they get it.
Long as it works correctly when running don't worry about it.

My 82 does it too. It's normal.
