i was watching the same program lastnight and saw an awful lot of vettes. in fact i think the majority of vehicles i saw were vettes. all years. has over haulin ever done a vette?(c3)
i saw it too, tons of vettes, especially when they were setting off the first day. Power tour would be an incredible experience. Its on the list of things to do before i die. Oh, and the only vette that's been done on overhaulin was that silver 64'
If you saw the show "Rides" about the Power Tour then you saw my car! It is an awesome event and it has really grown a lot over the years. I think this year had something like 3000 hot rods. There were easily 150 Corvettes and we all got to line up and lead the tour out of the parking lot. It's a blast and I highly recommend doing it.
The Hot Rod Power Tour ended at the Hot Rod Super Nats here in Youngstown,Ohio (Canfield fairgrounds) around 2 or 3 years ago...AWESOME show..be there if you can!.....over 2500 cars..vettes galore.

If it came a little closer and my Vette was running good, I'd definetly jump in. Last year the nearest they came was TN....about 10 hrs from me. Neat thing about it is that you can jump in and out whenever you like. You don't need to run the whole power cruise.
They should do one for use north easterner's. Maybe from WV thru Maine!

A couple of years ago Power Tour started in Nashville. There was a kickoff started here in Knoxville that cruised to Nashville. I had to run errands and saw the cars leaving Knoxville headed west toward Nashville. It was that close and I could not get in.
I went to the power tour kickoff when it was in Nashville. Tons of cars of all types. It was a neat experience. I have an aquaintence that went about 1/2 way and said it was a lot of fun. I think they are coming through again in '05. I may try to go a day or so if I can get off work.
I have not driven in the Power Tour yet, but, I am planning on joining part of it in '05. I live just North of Indianapolis so I was thinking of joining in at Springfield, IL, and running along with them for 2 days to Nashville, TN.
I have a couple of the DVD's from previous Power Tours and it looks like a great time is had by all who drive in it.
Long hauled the 2003 Tour from Nashville to Arlington, Tx. in the Vette. Plan on doing the 2005 Tour since it's ending here in Florida. If you are into cars you must do it if you can.
Geesh, We all watched the same show?...yea Christopher Tittus was hilarious too. Cool custom 56 Chevy he had. I restored a 57 Fairlane once, amazing how Ford and Chevy Copied each other so closely back then.
I made the long haul on the last east coast power tour, it still remains to this day the best time i have ever had with anything car related. I met so many good people and had so much fun it was awesome,it was awesome to meet and hang out with the people that you read about all the time in the car mags,I even got my car in a photo shoot in D.C. for HOT ROD mag,,,I heard the 06 tour will be east coast again if so ill definetly do it again,,,,,if you have the chance to go you wont regret it!!!
