In N.Y. we are required to have 2 plates. I only run the rear, and keep the other in the rear strage bin. I have only been pulled over 1 time, for 1 plate, and just told said that I am still restoring the car and I am trying to locate a front plate bracket ( car being 32 years old). Fell for it! My plate is LT-1VETTE

In New York I had a Split Bumper '71 Z-28 and it looked like chit with a front plate so I never had one on. Occasionally I got a $10 ticket (back in the late '70s) The personal plate was NAS T Z .

Now in Florida I have a '73 Corvette and no front plate is required (wouldn't put one on anyway and would take the ticket). My personal plate reads LOT A HP

I tried to get STOLEN, but the Ohio DMV said "no". So, I settled on "MISN 427".

Just started looking into personalized plates in MN. It's $100, and apparently only one plate is required for 72 and older

I'm going to turn in my app this week for "AH YEAH".

I guess I will be the first from the great state of Texas to respond. I have 1 rear plate registered as Antique. It has a picture of a little Stanley Steamer in the middle of it. All other vehicles in Texas require front and rear plates.....

My plate reads SLEPER{Sleeper} (At the time could only get 6 letters)

The one I wanted was 3M TA3 but could not get it. (If I was behind you and you looked in your review mirror it would read EAT ME.)

In Texas front and back plates are required by law. However...neither our Z-28, T/A or Mustang has a front plate. The front plate on my Vette is the red white and blue USA-1 plate. I've never been hassled. My daughter was pulled over for speeding in the 'Stang and got a warning for no front plate.

I originally asked for KOPPSSUK (Fla was OK with it), but after just getting my license re-instated after some years of suspension my wife did not think that plate was a good idea.

Front plates are required in Australia so they can catch you with speed cameras.
