Going to pick up personalized plates...you guesed it VTTEDRM. I can get collector plates, (and never have to pay for the sticker again) however the Province of Alberta does not offer personalized collector plates. Front plate: CORVETTE
Want to see some ugly plates, check out the ones in Europe... Our plates in Finland are not the ugliest... Our special plates costs about 1300USD and still you can get only 2-3 letters and 1-3 numbers and you cant mix them... So you can have for example VET-75 or ZL-1, but not Z-06 because there must be two letters and numbers can't start with 0... So be happy for the plates you have!
Here in Ohio it's both. I use to have personal plates
PACE 78
I got tired of the rediculous annual cost (I had them on 3 vehicles) Anyway I went with historical plates at a one time fee of $25 well actually they are only good for 50 years but at age 57 I don't think I'll be renewing
You can buy personalized historical plates but you go back to an annual fee.
Here in Mass we have had two plates for a few years. During the nice weather months I have CHEVY 1 on my 73 and during the bad weather months I have them on my winter car.
used to have personalized plates: 1FAST1
but it was expensive.
now use year of manufacture plates on my 79. have plates from 1979 on it. looks cool. i like it.
We have rear plates only here in Arkansas. I have "antique" plates on my Camaro that never have to be renewed. The Vette can get one next year. I have "Heartbeat of America - Yesterdays Chevrolet" on the fronts.
Minnesota dosen't require front plates after a certain age, just found that out last year when I got the plates for the vette. I'm just glad that if I do get collector plates, they won't be those God-awfull blue ones I had when I lived in Wisconsin! They are enough to
In Ohio you can register any vehicle 25 years old and older as historical, and you can then add to that registration a model year plate of which you are required the rear only
