Default Door handle issues

I bought a '76 Stingray this past week (check it out at http://www.tkamike.netfirms.com), and while I love it, it has some issues. The biggest one is that the driver side exterior door handle isn't working. Any ideas???

A commom problem with C3's. It might be a worn slot in the handle or the rod clip may have popped off. A big cause of door latch problems is dirt and grease. If you have a place to work on the car and can remove the door panel you'll see the rods and clips the operate the latch assembly. If you do a search here you should find a lot of info on this problem.
Good luck,
Gary

Thanks, yeah I took off the interior panel, but it looks rather complex. It looks though like something actually broke, there's a peice that looks like it broke where a nut was. I guess I'll just have to do some trial-and-error.

Thanks. I'm looking into ordering an assembly manual as soon as possible since the driver's side door is sort of an important thing to have working.

As YB points out, i think the assembly manual is your best hope on this one. i had a similar problem with a broken link and couldn't figure out how all of the parts connected.

By the way:
