Well, I bought a new Sony Cybershot, and i thought i'd take some pics of a work in progress. I've been cleaning up the engine bay and underneath the car.
out came this.
Got to do some mods to the suspension to hold up for the new engine
Looks good. What are the plans for the engine and suspension?

Thanks. I got an internally balanced 383 with all the good stuff, AFR 195s, xe284 cam, Vic Jr. intake, and a Mighty demon carb. I plan on installing spicers all around, heim jointed strut rods, and 17 inch wheels and tires.
Glad I seen these pictures before buying a Sony Cypershot.... Pretty bad.....Too dark.....Not very sharp.... However I do love the Vette.......
Thanks, now i feel better about wasting $350 for a digital camera. I actually had it on the wrong setting (outdoor setting). With the right setting, it does come out really well.

The pics look fine. I have had my Sony Cyber Shot for about 5 years and it works great. I have always thought your car looks nice. Now that you have the camera, go ahead and shoot your pics at a high resolution. Then use the Microsoft Power Toy Picture resizer to resize the image before uploading. I shoot all of my pics of my vette at least 1600X1200. This way you can see some of the details at home if you need to refer back. I have about a 1000 or so pics of my vette on computer. I will never use 80 Gigs of hard drive.
The powertoy sucks compared Mihov Resizer (freeware. Google it.) I use that and PhotoShop. I use both an Olympus and a Canon digital camera and both have their place. The Olympus is only 3 megapixel, but takes great low light pictures. The Canon is 5 megapixel and takes crappy low light pictures. I don't have any experience with Sony camera, but it's not fair to make a blanket statement like Vettepower did. Photographic results are more dependant on the operator than they are on the equipment, anyway. Ansel Adams could take a great picture with a $2 disposable.

They look fine on my monitor, maybe it's vettepower's monitor that's making them look bad. Sony cybershot is as good as any of the better digital point and shoots out there. Remember we are looking at the images on a 72 DPI monitor. I am sure the prints look great. By the way that car of yours is a real beauty, good luck with engine install. Now that you have a digital camera keep us up to date with the installation progress.
The pictures really show off the paint and the gleaming chrome. Is that the correct red for the '69? If not, what red is that?
The car was orginally Monza Red...I painted it last winter in 2000 c5 Torch Red. I think all the torch reds have a slight different shade to them over the years, (maybe thats just me) but thats why i went with 2000.
