they didnt have electric radiator fans back then ,,unless its a up grade- as far as coolant temp , my stroker runs under 200- like 198 or so- i believe big blocks run hotter, its been so long since i had one i dont recall,vettes run hot. also power steering leaks on these cars a lot-there.s a ram under there cuz of lack of room. depends what psi oil pump ins in there,40 to 60 i would think, im sure others will chime in here

be careful and don't be bashfull. ask questions and look over very carefully if the owner does not want you to look at very close run away. if they have nothing to hide they will not mind you looking around. if you look at previous post you will get plenty ideas of were to look for trouble. also pay attention to the little things they add up quick.
I always take a checklist when looking at used cars, especially corvettes or any other exciting car. It's real easy to overlook something, even if you take a long time.
Really helps me to stay focused on what I'm doing, which is looking for problems.
Also, after going through it, then you can start worrying about the vette specific stuff with a clear head.
