Need some suggestions. I'm in the middle of a body off resto and my engine work is complete... The engine is fully assembled and sitting on the stand... the oil pressure and compression have been tested.. the manifolds and sheetmetal are on..... It's been that way for about 4-6 weeks so far... I had anticipated having the engine in the car by the end of the year, but it looks like it might be a little bit longer... perhaps january or february.
My question is this... is there anything I should do to the engine to keep it in good shape over the next few weeks until I get it installed and cranked for the first time? Should I turn the crank over every once in a while or anything else? Everything is taped off so nothing can get in.... I'm just wondering what else I should do to ensure no problems arise.

Sound like when I did my engine. I turned the crank every couple weeks just to be sure..more to ease my mind.
Cover with a plastic bag. I also put about 10 qts of oil in the pan and cranked her several times...don't forget to remove the oil when storage time is over.
