So far I haven't found a good shop here in Orlando - it seems they all just don't care.
Two years ago I was trying to find a shop to get my Flowmaster installed on my Camaro, most of them were arrogant like "we don't install customer's parts, you have to buy the muffler here..." or "well, that are 3 welds, you're looking at $150....."

I went to Big10Tire shop to get my wheels balanced - well, the wheels were balanced fine but they also scratched the frame and broke the plastic covers on the wheels...

When I had my 3" pipes put on,Midas was the only shop around that could bend 3" pipe. I got a quote, and decided to have it done.A day later they called and said I had to have a converter due to the new Pa inspection regs. I was furious because I wanted true duals, but knew I had to have it done. I OK'd the converter.A day later Midas calls and says there's no way he can bend the pipes to fit.I told him since he insisted on the converter,he would have to make it work if he wanted the job.Somehow he managed to get it all together. Tight fit, smooth bends, welds that look like a 10 year old did them.A day later the rear hangers broke, but I'd had enough with Midas,so I went to another local shop to fix the hangers.Been fine ever since.
For what I spent,I could have gotten painted Hooker sidepipes, and registered for Classic plates. The problem with that is the fact I run usually in the 20,000 miles a year range, and the under the car exhaust sneaks by the local police much easier than side pipes.

Took the vette (glossy black)to a garage once for new tires.
Some idiot managed to chip the paint up front and tried to cover it up using matt paint. Some of these guys just don't care. If you want the job done right, do it yourself or take the time to find someone to do it right for you.

That's great.... Thanks..I usually do most of my own stuff. I even align my own cars.. I have a on car spin balancer here too. Exhaust work is alway tough though. I have lots of tools and air too so if you need any thing or help ask too. Also I am a certified A/C tech. Right now I am recovering from some major surgery so my stamina isn't 100%. I really appreciate the offer.

The only time I've been to Midas was trying to get a pair of mufflers put on. They didn't want to put on non-midas mufflers and wanted $50 per side! Went to another place and got it done for half that. Still, now that I've got welding capability, free is a much better price

From all the horror stories, it makes me proud to work in a shop with higher standards. www.krauseandengland.com
