What do you get for your $295? Just the plastic cover? I'm wondering where we're going to get the Dzeus stands to hold them down.

TT:I'll post my CAD file when it's complete. There are 3 dimensions that are missing to finish it off.

You get two pieces of moulded lexan (or whatever the material is) for the $295

The original covers where screwed straight into the bodywork........I made the two front posts and the rear bracket for the pzus fasteners as I didn't want to damage the bodywork.....also I trimmed the covers down a little to look a little more "contoured".

Just a note...make sure you use a sharp drill bit and not in a cold garage when drilling holes in them.

Nick,
What headlights do you have in there? And where did you get the headlight cups and rings? Did you have to figure out how to mount them yourself, or was there a place on the buckets to attach them and how?

Thanks

69autoXr,

I really like your car. I love the look. I see you don't like chrome either.

Im on the fence on this one.

Sometimes it looks really cool, and other times it makes it look like droopy

The bucket sits on top of the brace thats in the nose of the 69...it uses the three holes that th eplastic light portectors mount to.

The headligths are 53/4" crystal clear halogen conversions. The buckets are the regular buckest from a 69, and the stock mouting rings. I had to make up some space posts (threaded) so i can adjust them for direction.

Thanks. And I do like chrome, I wouldn't buy a shark unless it was a chrome bumper car, but my car is autocross-only and the bumpers and brackets are extra weight.

These look awesome on a chrome bumper car....even if the bumper is removed.....Personally though, I think they'd look poor on my 74 with the dumb rubber bumpers

I too would like to have a set. So if you guys are going to produce those covers, put me in line to buy a set. Of course nothing is free, so I am willing to pay a resonable amount for them. I too can fabricate the buckets. It is the covers that will have to be made on a mold. I still would be interested in buying all of the parts though.
