I need some help finding mufflers
My father-in-law has offered to pay for a new exhaust system for Christmas, and I told him I wanted a set of Magnaflows. But once the started looking around, no one seemed to know what ones would fit the car (81). I don't know how many shops have told us they don't make Magnaflows for a C3. Now I know they don't list a C3 on their website, but I also know that Corvette Central lists a set in their catalog, they just don't give any model numbers, which I'm assuming are some of their universal fits.
Anyone know what model of Magnaflow will fit on an 81 C3? I'm pretty sure I want the straight throughs and not the offsets, and their universal aluminized steels don't seem to start in a 2.5 inch until the 4x9s, and go up from there. As you can tell, I'm a little bit challenged when it comes to mufflers.
Can anyone help?

Magnaflows website only lists the C4.

My Borlas for example are C4 mufflers, they fit fine on the C3 - however, mine are welded, not clamped...

I have a full system on my 70 that I bought from corvette central. For extra I got it with the magnaflow mufflers that are exact replacements. I looked in their catalog and they list part number 323454 for 78-82 2 1/2" magnaflows. The front y pipe is 323718 and the rear is 323752. This is just like the factory the only difference is the magnaflows. I would call to be sure though.

Well - you don't need to buy the mufflers specifically made for your car if you're going to a competent exhaust shop. They'll find something that fits. I can't find a catalog on them, but you want a 14" long x 9" wide muffler.
(My Ultra Flos ... very good muffler as well! Sound just like Magnaflows)

Nevermind. If you want center center, use these: 11216 ... Magnaflow PNO. That should work.
