I have a few questions on interior work for a 1977.
#1 The top dash pad and door panels look pretty easy to replace. Am I wrong?
#1a Is the front guage dash hard to replace?
#2 How many total man hours (experienced) should it take for recarpeting the entire car? I want to make sure the body shop doesn't screw me.
#3 Same question as above except for seat covers. I plan on buying an interior kit and having it installed because I think I can get the parts cheaper then they.
THANKS in advance and any other tips would be great.

i have done all of this .... i will add my thoughts in caps, good luck
That must be that high NJ Teamsters Union rate for the carpet install. 12 hours! DAY-UM! I am going to have to "outsource" it to some illegals. LOL. Thanks again for the info.
I did everything you are talking about myself and it wasn't that bad. You may want to give it a go and save yourself some buckos.
The only thing I didn't do was put the new covers on my seats. I can't remember but I think Ecklers? might be having a special where if you buy the covers they will install them for a buck. Of course that would invole shipping them still alot cheaper than taking them to a shop at a rate of $100-150 a seat to do it.
I did my own seats, you need hog ring pliers and the installation kit.
Took me about 20 hours, but I took my time and cleaned and repainted the seat frames.
I did the same. The dash was the hardest. I spent about 1200$ all together. and about 25 + hours. Here are a few pictures. I would recommend putting insulation under the carpeting. good luck http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/405302/3

Holy Cow, your VETTE rocks, dude! Thanks for the advice.
I bought the leather covers at the NCRS Winter Meet and had them installed locally for about 75 bucks. I installed the carpet myself. Click on my photos to see some of the interior. It was pretty easy. I am sure that it isn't the best job, but I did it myself.
