My '78 Vette came from the factory with the Gymkhana suspension which has the sway bar in the rear.
If I get one of the Performance suspension packages from VB&P, I noticed that they don't have the rear sway bar as part of their packages, should I use my old sway bar, or just leave it off?
Seems to me that if you remove the old sway bar it would detract from the handling of the car. I think I would ask VBP if it will be compatible with their product then make your decision?
The full kit with front and rear springs is designed to work as a package. Adding (or leaving) the old sway bar on will change the handling balance intended for the car.

We got a suspension kit for my Dad's '78 from them and it had a rear sway bar. I just looked at their catalog and all the kits I saw included one (.75" diameter).
Adding a rear sway bar should reduce understeer, though
76custompaint is correct, this kit has been designed so that the Rear Dual Mount Spring takes the place of the rear sway bar.
I agree. I have the dual mount set on the 2'nd stiffest and have autocrossed the car with several different setups, although I've never tried a rear bar.
I've settled on a 1 1/8" front bar with NO rear bar and have slight oversteer. Adding a rear bar to my car would give me severe oversteer.
Although I'm not to partial to the front monospring, the rear dual mount is a nice set up and like other mentioned before, it compinsates for not having a rear sway bar.

I was not sure myself about the front monospring, but I really liked the idea of adjusting the ride height of the body. I am building a big block for my Vette, and am not really sure how the front will sit. I figured that with the monospring, I could adjust the height to where ever I liked.
Is there another solution to adjustability other than the monospring?
Unleess your doing a lot of Autocrossing i think that adjustability is overrated. You can always cut the coil springs if you dont like the way the car sits. If you building a big block you may want to think about the Street and Salolmn kit. I put this kit on my car and it made a world of difference. the front springs are the 550lb and the lower the car about an inch. My car is a Small block but I like a stiff ride so the 360 rear 550 front work well for me. It is stiff but not punishing. The Blisteins will make all the difference in the world.
