I'd have to pull the carb for the details but I have one on my 70 coupe. It is rectangular port and Holley square bore carb plate. It is low, I have a 10mm spacer and a 4" open airfilter and it fits under the stck hood. But its not a hot design, see my post in Engine Mods forum.

Yeah, it's called divorce court! Just trying to solve my hood clearance issue with the L-88 air chamber. I think my Stealth is either too tall or the manifold at the carb base is about 0.25-0.5" too far forward.
I have one sitting in the basement of the shop. It is an original high rise intake modified like the L88 with the center divider cut down part way. I can measure it tonight.
It accepted the normal holley carb.
I had it under the stock hood of a 75 with a 2 inch air cleaner and the underhood cleaned up.
With the intake on the bench I laid a staight edge on the mounting surface for the carb and measure down to the mounting surface for the block.
The front was 4 1/4 inches and the back was 5 3/4.
This is a high rise LS6 intake. Big rectangular ports.
I have an original '71 LS-6 car, and have 2 original intakes in the garage. Norvalwilhem talks about the manifold being a highrise, I'm not sure he is correctly speaking of a factory manifold. These manifolds were designed to fit under the stock BB hood, as stylists wanted to eliminate the unsightly domed L88 style hood that interupted the flowing lines of the body.
Anyway the LS-6 manifold dropped the intake passages 2 inches into the valley of the block, this in turn hurt the horsepower on the upper end slightly, but had no effect on the torque ratings. I would not refer to this manifold as a highrise, however if you got the correct measurements....GREAT.
If you need further assistance, let me know, I will be happy to measure the manifolds for you.
Take care, Warren

I am not talking about a corvette intake at all. I am talking about the original LS 6 454 from the 460 horse Chevelles. That was were my donor motor came from, not a vet. I did fit that complete setup under the stock 75 hood with a little help in cleaning up the underside of the stock hood and a 2 inch aircleaner.

Thanks Norval, I thought you we talking about the Chevelle LS-6 intake when you mentioned hi-rise. I'm about a 1/2" taller at the front with this Stealth. The rear is the same. Could you get me one more measurement? From the front of the intake where it meets the block to the front of the intake where the carb sits. The distance should be the same I would think. Mine is about 7 3/4" back.
That LS-6 has about the same dimensions as the figures of L-88's I got from members.
Early shark could you get the same measurements? The height of the car base in relation to the intake base and the amount the carb base is set back from the front of the intake.
