Default l-88 headlights again

I got a hold of gulstrand and i can get the covers for 359 or the whole kit for 550 without lights .So i decided to do it,i pulled my old stuff out before i paint.Question is guys with the covers already are there no holes drilled in them before hand,i want to mount them like liverpool did with zues buttons and dont want to drill the body.Itll be after christmas before i get them ,i got to sell the old stuff and a few things to fund the project. My wife intercepted the phone call and heard how much they were. All i heard was, remember ,diapers, formula, addition, corian countertops.yeah yeah yeah i know.

Seems like theres a new rush to put on the L88 lights. Its funny, after seeing them on a car in Corvette Fever Magazine about a year ago, I always wondered if it would be possible to get a hold of a conversion kit. Guess a found my answer.

How close are you to White Plains , NY???

You can take a drive up and see how I did mine.....if not drop me and IM with your phone number and I can give you plenty of detail on how I did mine and what "other" parts I used.

cheers,
Nick

I didnt even realize you still had that toolbox.
Id definately like to see what youve done to her since last time I came by. I didnt know you were putting in new seats, trailing arms, headlights (well I do now) and steering wheel. Winter break cant come fast enough.

Pat, sorry to jack your thread. Back tot he original question.

Pat, just as an FYI other than the L88 stuff from Guldstrand, everything else you can use from the factory lights....the lamp buckets, the lamps, the trim rings......just need some 1.5" wide 1/16" thick aluminum bar to make brackets (got mine from Home Depot for $8), some aluminum dzus fasteners and 1" lock springs from Jeg's.

I have seen these lights ... I guess the L88 lights are the ones from ebay. I saw them for sale a few weeks ago.

The recessed light pictured on that link you provided are NOT the L-88 lights.
These are the Guldstrand L-88 headlight assemblies:

You get them from the source:
http://www.guldstrand.com/vettemain.htm
Not from an Ecklers catalog.
