Default C2 Guy needs help

I have a 65 C2 with small flares. I am running 15X8 Ralleys with 255/60 tires. I believe this is a stock wheel/tire combo for a C3. Anyone using 17X8 wheels with 255/50 tires? Got any pics?

Thanks
Tom

Wheel Vintiques (spelling?) makes a two piece aluminum billet 17 inch wheel that looks like the standard early C3 rallye wheel - you know the wheel with the chrome trim and the little chrome hat. I've bought a set for my 68. From a distance of perhaps 20 feet they look stock. It's only up close when you look at them that you realize they're not. The wheel is chrome plated aluminum on the outer circumfruence, the inner wheel is powderpainted grey and then it has the little chrome hat. With this wheel you get 17 inch upgrading and a very stock look. If you're interested ask and I'll tell you what tire I have.

I have 255 50 17s on TTIIs. They will fit the rears fine. They rub on the front. Probably going to a 255 45 17 on front. They are 1 inch shorter.

Vintage wheel works 17s on a 69 Camaro

17x9 (IIRC) with 255/50-17. Wheel Vintiques billet rallye with silver powder coated centers. They are WAY lighter than the factory wheels.

Thanks! Just what I was looking for. I wanted to go up in rim size for tire availability but I wanted the same diameter. I did not want the "rubber band" tire look though. Yours look great!
I am surprized the fronts rub. The diameter of the 255/50 and 255/60 should be the same, 27". What is the offset on the TTIIs?
Neat Camaro!

Offset on the TTIIs is 4 inches. 255 50 17s are 27 inches. They don't make a 255 60 17. 255 60 15 are also 27 inches. I was running a 245 60 15 and they did not rub but just that slight extra makes it rub. The 255 45 17s are 26.1 diameter so iwill lose a slight amount in diameter. The Camaro is my brother in laws. 600HP 421 SB motor with a 5 speed and 4.11 gears. It goes!
