It means Mickey Thompson. He was a race driver that made different performance products, such as slicks and engine parts.

Mickey was the man the man back in the 60's and early 70's. He had a line of aftermarket performance parts such as valve covers, air cleaners, tires, mag wheels etc. He was very popular in the day.

I've got a set of tall aluminum finned Mickey T valve covers in my garage,surprised me to find Made in Japan on the inside of them.I just didnt think that many speed parts in the 60s came from there,I guess.

IIRC, Mickey Thompson was gunned down several years ago and the murder is still unsolved.

Those Mickey Thompson valve covers were very popular...
My '68 actually has those when I bought it... I sold the valve covers later on Ebay for pretty decent money...
