Just cuz you write Z06 on your meat don't mean you beat a Z06 corvette.

Just funnin' with ya, those numbers do sound high so most are a little .

I don't know how fast the Z06's are in Texas, but around here they are pretty damn fast. Don't ever try to jump on one in Ga. might get your feelings hurt. I'm not saying you don't have a fast car, but with my setup, If I get one with a good driver they are hard to beat. Most around here are running low 12's - high 11's

Kennedale is open Thursday, Friday Saturday and Sunday during the winter. Let us know when you will be there. I'll definitely show up to watch.

Check the website for directions and schedules.

All I can say it's hard to consider the guy a bad driver when all you do is put your foot to the pedal and shift maybe 2 gears....it was from a 5mph roll, and all I had time was to shift into second before I was at about 60...hard to question his shifting skills or anything else, I had a lead on him the entire time...thats just what I perceived though...

Joe.... stoplight to stoplight doesn't really tell you anything about a car. The 1/4 or 1/8 will let you know what your working with.

I don't know how much track time you've had, but do you really understand how fast 11's actually are??? The C-5 Z06's and cars like it are the reason the NHRA lowered the roll bar rule to include them.

I'm sure you have a fast car. I remember the first car I built that I thought was very fast, thought it could beat anything around. So I took it to the track. It ran high 12's. Respectable, but definatly not the fastest street car there that day.

The timer at the end of the track will either make you very happy with yourself or hurt your feelings...there's no middle ground when your looking at a time slip.

We all like to brag on our cars but be carefull how much you brag, there will always be someone there that is faster.

I'd be happy to run you. If you ever get around Ga. look me up.

I'll PM you the times I'm available and my cell#. It's a money think now, I'll leave that to the ZO6's which will probably show up after someone links this to the C-5 area. Race for beer, that's another store. Not sure I'm superior, I just know your not running 440hp. We can also met you over at Speedtek and have that baby dyno'ed. I'll even throw in some cash for that.

Now Drag racing is a lot different. It's not like street racing. I could even run a highier time and still win, so practice, practice.

I am tempted to wave a huge BS flag here, I do not believe for 1 second that the claims made are legit. Looking at the thread where the engine pics are posted I see that a statement is made that the engine is new. Looking at it it doesn't appear new to me, it appears a 25 year old L48 or L82 with come Edelbrock E tec goodies on it and what looks like an rpm manifold. Headers look to be 1&5/8 primary hedmans (68300) painted headers. In fact, I'm pretty convinced it doesn't make 440 let alone 500Hp. 300 would be high if you ask me.

Hehe, the yare HOOKER headers, and bashy bashy bashy...I'm not as naive to think I'm the fastest in town, I know there are plenty of things out there that can beat me...and I agree, drag times and street racing are different...but I am very confident in my cars ability...hehe, looks liek I have an old L-82...please...I use this as a daily driver, things aren't going to look brand spanking new forever...and like I said, I could use the $...I thoght you were confident enough in your car that you would gladly throw down some cash...what happened? As for the other non-beleivers, I don't know what else to say...I can't really try to go around proving anythnig to everyone, I don't care that much...I'll get back to thsoe w/ that dyno sheet I told you about earlier...I have a feelnig once I get that, some of you will say "Phe, dyno's don't mean anythnig" ....
