Are All Carpets Equal ?

There's already been a post on this. The general consensus was that the carpet was most probably best from Al Knoch interiors, as it faded a lot less with aging (and with the sun hitting it) than the others did.

I just installed Al Knoch this past summer in mine so I can't comment on the longevity of it yet. But it was a nice fit and only very minimal trimming. Nice carpet with the padding attached. I also used the Reflectix under the carpet.

Carpets and interiors
They are not all the same. For NCRS and Bloomington Gold class cars, "Knoch" exact reproduction interiors are the best in quality and fit. The interior fabrics from some other brands were recently compared by weight and the Knoch interiors fabrics averaged some 30-35% heavier in completed form. A very good measurement of durability. But that is what you would expect from a company that has been the leader of the industry for 40 years.
