Original Corvette Documentation
Dennis
Hi everybody!
First, let me tell you that for the last 2 weeks or so I have (with great difficulty) refrained from posting this. I wanted to make sure that what I'm about to tell you is 100% accurate. In a moment, you will understand and appreciate my hesitance to post this information. Hopefully, many of you have read my posts & know that I am credible.
For many years we have been taunted with rumors concerning the possibility that original Corvette documentation might exist in some undisclosed and long forgotten warehouse. We have even heard rumors that PHS might have access to these records. Until this very day at exactly 3:28pm the acquisition of any orginal document for our St. Louis Corvette seemed so remote, I dared not hope I'd ever see anything in my lifetime.
I am very pleased to tell you that I can now say with 100% certainty that the original dealer invoice for your Corvette is available! In fact, the mailman delivered mine a few minutes ago and I am looking at it right now. Also, I would be remiss if I failed to give a huge thanks to a very knowledgable Corvette expert, rare parts source and one of the nicest people you could ever meet for turning me on to this informaton. Thank you LT1GEORGE!!!
I do want to ask one thing of you before I give you the information. Please, Please, Please promise me you will fill out the customer service form that comes with your dealer invoice and return it promptly. There is plenty of room to write some additional information on the front and back of the form as well. It is extremely important that we let GM know how much we value this service and would like to see it continue and be built upon (this is a $ looser for them). Also, please say some kind words about Peggy Vezina. She is the person who will be doing this research for you. It's a one woman operation and she is working very hard on our behalf.
Now for what you have been waiting for....................................
For an original copy of your Corvette dealer invoice or ANY other GM car or truck 1977 to present, send an email to one of the following email addresses. I sent mine directly to Peggy. You MUST have the correct VIN (please triple check it before requesting the information) and provide the year, make and model of your vehicle as well as your full address. Oh, one last thing........................it's free!
GMMA.research@gm.com OR peggy.vezina@gm.com
For those who have a Corvette older than 1977 you may want to call GM to see if your dealer invoice is available. Here's the # 1-800-851-8984.
Also G.M. is offering a packet with all kinds of info on any year vehicle they have made, everything you ever wanted to know....spec sheets, line production sheets, all options available for your year, make, and model, and complete lists of all GM approved vendors for your every need. Just call 1-800-222-1020 (go to the live represenative option) ask for the restoration package. have your vin# ready you'll need it. In about 3 wks you will recieve a thick enevelope. ENJOY!
When was the last time GM gave you anything for free?
Sent in for mine, but never heard anything from Peggy? :hmm:
Hope it comes
