Default Big Block Engine Paint
OK, just got my big block back from the shop. Its all cleaned, magged, frost plugs done, honed, cam bearings are new. But now I should paint it while its still in the heated garage. My concern is what color would be most correct for the BBC engine. My car is a '79 so its not a correct engine but I'd like to at least have the color correct. Do you recommend brushed on or sprayed on engine enamel.

I like the por 15 brushed on engine paint. Seems to hold up better than the spray for me at least.

Chevy Orange would look killer. Bill Hirsch makes great engine enamel, in pints and in spray bombs. Joe

Valve covers are hi-temp Chevy orange-red, block is POR-15 chevy orange. Pan is Moroso red.
