81 Tach not working?
Hi need help with my Tach. When the engine is off the tach reads 1,100
When running it reads way more than what the engine is really revving.
The car no longer has the computer and is using a 80 style distributor (vacuum advance)
First how can I fix it and where can I order the parts?

Mine did that. I replaced the Tach circuit board and it fixed the problem. I have no idea how that relates to you not having a computer.
