Looks like a solid car. I saw one of these in a fully restored condition three years ago(same color combo)and the guy told me he had paid over $34K for it, which really when you think about any '70-'72 LT-1 roadster-you probably can't loose money on one unless you totally redid a "basket case". This car looks like it has most/all the correct pieces(may need restored/replated/cleaned up)such as shifter, A.I.R.(smog)pump, motor components, etc. Looks like a pretty much unmolested car. If you could get away with more of a "cosmetic"(not pulling body off of frame) restoration than a "full" restoration(body off)probably be worth it.
Looks like it could be a nice car for the right price. I agree that much more than 15K may be too much but there aren't too many LT-1 verts out there. A couple things I would want to know is what mechanical condition the car is in to figure out how extensive a resto would be needed and what documentation the guy has. I'm guessing that the car with a nice non-NCRS restoration would be worth between 30 and 35K. Also, probably just a typo but I'd ask why VIN and serial number is different. It's kind of funny to list two numbers like that. If you find out more info on the car post it here. I'd like to see it. I'm always interested in LT-1s.
That is the condition I got mine in a bunch of years ago. If you want to bring it back to great condition plan on a boatload of $$$. Once you get a new piece next to an old one it just does not look good. You will end up replacing or rebuilding everything on the car. That is a big project car. It would be nice when done but if you are doing the work (which I did) it will be expensive. If you farm it out hold on to your wallet. Always plan on double the time and triple the money you have planned.
The car is located in Utah, lets see if I can remeber somthing about that state, oh yeah! they have "The Great Salt Lake" there, it snows in the winter, they take the "salt" from the "Great Lake" and spread it onto the roads. I would have to inspect the car in person myself, you could be really sorry about getting a Utah Vette for "free" if there are problems with the frame and birdcage. It does look to be a "legit" LT-1 but, one sold a while ago on Ebay for under $30K (roadster too) located in Central Calif and I looked at the car for my buddy, he should have bought it but didn't. now my friend is learning about "accelerated depreciation" with his C5 Vette (Heh! Heh!)
Says 330 hp on the console plate.
Lt1's have 370hp last time I looked.

Yes, but only in 1970. The 1971 model had 330 gross hp and the 1972 model had 255 net (based on new GM-wide practice of rating engines by net horsepower).
