Another Ebayer smokin' dope
Is this guy on drugs. Maybe I should be on drugs. Perhaps both.
At some point in our lives, people just lose touch with reality and things all of sudden seem more expensive than the good ole' days. Maybe I have reached this point. Somebody pinch me... lightly.

I have more that that is just the Posi unit($700) and the Custom yokes at another @$500. Then 4.11 richmond gears. I probably have $2000 in a rearend.

Sure, you can have yours rebuilt by Van Steel for about $8bills,
but this one lets you keep yours to rebuild and sell or rebuild
with different gears for the track.

No "Jack71" just go easy on the hard stuff, smoking a little bud is ok,but you have to stay off the hard stuff as you get older.

I can think of a corvette vendor who should be on drugs of soem sort, but that's another story. The questions I would ask are just how the differential is rebuilt. Is it a standard rebuild which sonsists of clutches and a rebuild kit, or more involved?
When I rebuild them I know I spend more time then a shop can afford to,but I'm doing it has a hobby not a business.I clean them, 3 stage paint them, polish and deburr the carrier, add SHCS in place of the hex head bolts, "tune the posi" with new solid steel clutches, install new Ring & Pinion, add a drain plug, replace the side yokes, and add a HD rear cover. My part cost is over $750,closer to $800 with increased shipping and steel costs. Everything is new and setup. what would a fair labor cost be? $300-$400- more/less.
What do corvette shops charge for labor, around$70- $80hr? There is a local garage here that charges that for all car repair work.
Point is, it MIGHT be worth it if the time & parts are put into it. It seems this guy is known and that might be suspect though
