Offset T/As and wheel size

Offset T/As and wheel size
18x8 wheels with 4" backspacing fit with stock trailing arms. If I were to go with offset T/As, would 18x9.5 with 5.5" BS fit, and would they stay within the fender?

Theoretically the offset trailing arms give you up to 2" more backspace....so therefore a 18 x 9.5" with 5.5" should fit nicely and inside the fender ( I certainly hope soi'cos i just ordered a 17 x 9.5 with 5.5" backspacing!!!).

I had 18x10 5.5" BS with 275/35 tires on them. Lots of room between the frame /trailing arm and tire. but the tire would hit the fender lip.
I actually went with 6" BS but you have to notch the frame a little around the trailing arm pocket...BUT now the whole tire fits within the wheel well
