Has anyone here changed over from a th400 to a 200r overdrive in a 73 ? what was entailed, what did it cost(trans & converter,no labor), How do you like it? rather have the 200 over the 700 due to gearing(is that a good idea or not?) or is a 700 a drop in? thanks for oppinions
I just did the TH400 to 2004R change...can you say: I used to drive an OLD noisey car that was reved way too high?...and, now I drive a car that drives like a new car...WAY less engine noise...and WAY less gas!!!
Best mod out there....
Butt, it costs...I did the BOWTIE route , it cost $1700 that's if you do it yourself...everything was bolt in correct (although they kept sending me wrong yokes...they picked up the shipping cost, etc. when that was pointed out...over all it is THE best mod...IMHO
1971 convertible!
It was as close to a direct bolt in as you can get. A couple of things that took a little work included getting the Neutral safety switch timed to the new shifter detent and making a bracket for the key lock cable. trans sawp
