Default Let It Rain!!

My rain guage....aka... car has had some rather big water leaks when left sitting in the rain. ( I drive my car to work almost everyday). Two weeks ago I bought new T top and door seals. Last week end I installed them and I had a lot of trouble getting the windows to match up with the new weatherstips. I finally got it looking good. It failed the leak test big time. Water poured in at the rear worse than before PLUS a few new leaks. You cannot have a car that leaks in Florida! Anyway I got a couple of packs of shims and, using the assembly manual for dimmension reference and a thread on the NCRS board I began aligning and ajusting and shimming the locks, latches and aligning pins. After a couple of hours work I re-tested with a deluge of water. I had a smallish leak at the back and at one window corner. I removed a couple of shims at the back and NO leaks anywhere. I love it when things go right.

SEE!!! Contrary to popular belief....the NCRS "IS" good for some things. I have used much usefull information from them for the restoration of my 72. Their wire diagrams are the best publication I've seen, and helped solve many of my 72 electrical problems. Their Forum singlehandedly solved the heatsoak problem with my 77, without the expensive alternatives others have suggested.
Congrats on your accomplishment.

What is your main NCRS reference? is it a certain book, or a guide or something?
