I've heard "Rit" dye was the thing to use...never used it myself but friends swear by it...

Just sent an email to rite dyes to see if this is true. Thier web site says nylon can be dyed but not polyester. What are seat belt webbing , nylon or polyester? Brent

I have done seatbelts with RIT in a pot on the stove and they came out great. The only issue as I see it was the clear (Yellow now) plastic liner coating on the male part can pick up the dye as well. Never bothered me but it isn't stock. I say "go for it"

Or do like I did and just order a roll of black seat belt webbing and replace the old webbing. I got a 50' roll for $16.50 off ebay. Had it sewn at a local shoe shop for $10.00. Even had the original cloth tags sewn on the new belts. I have plenty of material left over if you need some black webbing.

Seatbelts should be nylon. RIT will do nylon, but you should double the amount. The best dye for nylon is an acid dye. RIT is 50% acid dye. You can order acid dyes online. Google it.

Could you spare some for a C2? I need to replace my lap belts for both seats.
Thanks
