Droptop your not too far away, heck I work in ATL everyday. Come on down one weekend and play with us. Mom and Pop track, not some big sanctioned one. You can get a lot of runs in and the track's pretty slack on the rules if you have a fast car as long as you can keep it fairly straight down the track.

My dad and I should really get his dinky little 302 in his '64 Vette going again. I mean, it only runs 10s with "stock" cast iron heads...

love to! had this thing a year, and haven't had it on a track yet. . . whether it's fast depends on how you define that, but it's what i like, and it sure is loud . . .

my SBC is rated at 465hp...and that wasn't fast enough for GrandsportC3. I bought his old motor which will pale in comparison to his new small block

Nothing against Big Blocks... might want one someday. Gotta get used to this level of HP.

Default f.n.g.

having read thousands of articles over the years, i can make an educated guess on this. this question has gone on for years. in the simplest of terms, the small block will always win given the same amount of money thrown at it, and other variables like car weight, and traction. so lets assume we put these motors in the same car. a small blocks advantages are weight, port flow speed, crank speed with smaller bearing sizes. while the big block enjoys none of these, but will trump this with cubes! same money, same car? the small block wins. unlimited money, different cars? big block more often than not

I will take a long rod 427 thank you.

All the advantages of a small block and all the advantages of a big block.

Till then Its a 350 for me. Mainly because of the pluthera of low cost high perf parts.

To say a Small Block "ALWAYS" wins is ludicrous, way too many varibles.

Now why should us BB guys drive south? My guess is Eddie's mouse wouldn't last 2 hours on the interstates, while I cruise all day long, big cubes and all.

How about this.....race what you drive (That means leave the car hauler at home).....how about you driving up north, and we'll go to a few good tracks, like Norwalk.
