I paid $715 per pair for shocks plus many springs for testing. The springs ran me $172 per set and I bought a set of 250, 300, 350, 400 and 450 all in 12 inch length.
So after installing the shocks and like I said to do it right involves alot of cutting, both spring pockets and fabricating mounts and reinforcement plates it still involved spring testing and at the same time height can be changed.
Spring changes take 10 minutes per corner, height adjustment just involves turning the lower ring/nut.
The big thing for me was the adjustability that I wanted and yes I did alot of it and the ability to pull the shock/spring for checking free movement/toe change/camber change without touching anything else.

I've got the QA1 Semi coilovers on my front. Once installed they ride great. I had cut big block springs that squeaked and popped. Now I can hit a bump and not worry about bottoming out.

I think QA1 needs to lower the kit one more inch to dead bottom. It's perfect for 255's , but about inch high for 245's.

Send an email to VanSteel. They have a coil-over suspension that requires very little modification of the lower A-Arm. Their address is http://www.vansteel.com
