Default fuel lines?

just a curious question. my vette that i am restoring im not quite sure if i want to replace my fuel lines they look rusted but there not leaking. should i replace them and if i do exactly how much work and how hard is it to do.

It's not that difficult if you replace the tubing with hose. When you try to remove the old lines you'll notice that you have to cut them right in front of the rear wheel where the lines 'disappear' between frame and body. There is no technical reason why these lines must be tubing, the stainless steel braided hose is just as good.
I replaced only the rear section with hose and have tubing installed from the wheel to the pump, I'll replace the entire line eventually ...

The lines are accessible at the tank, just take the fuel cap and the ring off - then you'll see the two lines at the tank. You can reach the lines and the clamps that hold them to the frame from underneath the car, right where the bumper mounts to the body behind the rear wheel.

if you replace it with hose then you can just reach in there and push the hoses towards the fuel cap/lid and have somebody grab them from there...(The wife or girlfriend is usually not very patient)....
