T-10 or Super t-10

The Super T-10 came in a 1st design and 2nd design version. The alloy case and iron case versions are both ST10. Alloy cases were only in GM cars. 1st design Iron cases in Fords, and AMC and over the counter.
GM never used the first design version in passenger cars except in a rare pickup truck version of the 3.42 ratio.
1st design had no bushing under 1st, a 7/8" countershaft, and iron main cases with iron or alloy tails. 10 spline input and 27 spline output.
2nd design had a bushed 1st, 1" countershaft, iron or alloy main cases and alloy tails. 26 spline inputs and 32 spline outputs. Alloy and Iron cases were both in GM cars, iron cases primarily in F Bodys and over the counter. Alloy cases specific only to GM
After the power levels dropped in 1974. The Super T-10 was issued in 1975. It really isn't as strong as a Muncie unless you go for an OTC 9310 Nickel Box with nodular iron case and midplate. There are 2.42, 2.64, 2.88 and 3.42 1st gear versions. There are also close ratio versions of the 2.64 and 2.88 gearsets.
You have a Super T10

This site helped me ID mine as a '77 ST-10...which is sitting in my 72.
Hope this helps

My '59 has the original close ratio T-10, and I would like to replace it with a 2.88 geared Super T-10 I have. I'm trying to determine if I can re-use the existing shifter and crossmember & transmount before I buy a new clutch and driveshaft yolk. Does anyone know if the existing cross member and shifter will work when going from a T-10 to a Super T-10? Wes
