Transmission ate itself...
...well it looks like my brake problem wasn't actually a brake problem and it was my transmission 
Looks like I have to try to figure out how to get a new one and installed for as cheaply as possible. So if any of you guys have any suggestions, I'm all for it.
Btw. Thanks to Oliver for giving me some advice on the phone last night
