This is my baby 1979 Corvette. She was an original L82 auto but currently running a 355 sbc. Dyno 2000 rated her at 446hp. I back the engine up with a 700R4 with factory 355s. The paint is about 15 years old so it is starting to show its age with the scratches it has accumulated from the previous owner. The oyster interior is a little rough but drivable. The exhaust is hooker ceramic coated 1 5/8" headers into 3" duals (not crossovers) and into V-Force mufflers. Very mean sounding. I have owned her for a little under 2 years. I am currently living in Southern California and the Corvette lives back home in New Jesey. And you thought a long distance girlfriend is hard. I am just trying to live every little boys dream. Take a look at her and tell me what you think. ENGINE INSTALLED
Alright when the pics where being taken the engine had only about 200 miles on it. Now the new engine has about 800 miles on the car. As for those zip ties they are holding on extra foam because I didnt like how the radiator hose was being rubbing against the alternator bracket. But that is all taken care of now. I am living in Camp Pendleton right now. I and the car is from Galloway, New Jersey. If you dont know where that is then it is kinda near the Smithville meet they have every year. Thanks for all the great support. I dont like being flamed about having a non stock Corvette and you guys are more then welcoming then most Corvette owners out there.
Galloway huh? maybe i can take it for a spin while your away lol.i lived in galloway for 10 years and now im in absecon, near the mcdonalds, behind vics subs.small world. Will have to hook up when you get back, maybe ill be done by then. And as far as not being stock, there are way more members on here that dont have stock vettes, mine is far from stock anymore.
very nice ride!-you can repair a lot of those small imperfections in the interior panels, i went thru mine a few weeks back and can e mail or post some before and after photos if you like,, it was pretty time consuming but as far as material ,,,i used a can of dye/paint and a can of leatherque crack repair under $40 to repair my t top liners,,,map pocket, dash pad speaker hole repair ect,,a lot cheaper than getting a new interior ,,and knowing you have the origional pieces which are better made than the re-production ,plastic parts,,--------
nice looking Vette. Hey you Jersey guys, I grew up in Cherry Hill until I was 17. Spent a few years on Long Beach Island during that time too.
I miss the snow and cool weather, BUT I'm glad I can drive my Vette year round down here in Florida.
